Bishop Nikolaos G. Brown,

Bishop, Diocese of Christ the Reformer

Armed with the Word of God in his hand and a dynamic ministry gift that spans his years, Bishop Nikolaos G. Brown serves as the Lead Pastor of Ignite: Church (Cathedral), located in Edison, New Jersey. Having experienced trauma that would ordinarily take most out, Brown was overwhelmed by the Saving Love and Power of Jesus Christ at an extremely early age of 7. He was called out of the remnant and into the ministry at the age of 12 with which he would begin his first fruits and the beginning steps to planting Ignite: Church.

His formative years of ministry were spent at the Stelton Baptist Church where he was groomed and instructed. While there he excelled as a musician in both sacred and gospel music. Such acceleration led him to great accolades as the W.A.M. (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart) Award and several others from many organizations for all four years of High School.

As he would continue to move forward in his call to the ministry, He Graduated from Edison High School. Having held high esteem for education, Brown began to matriculate his college education while still attending high school in his junior year. Currently, he is matriculating master’s degree in theological studies with aspirations of attending further to continue his education.

A social justice and Education advocate by virtue, Bishop is a member of several councils and reformations that (as he calls it) Create the Common Good especially the Rainbow Push Coalition, the NAACP (Serving the Metuchen Edison Piscataway Branch as the Chair of the Religious Affairs), several neighborhood advancement organizations and other social change organizations. Because of his spirit of excellence and tenacity for vision, he is often called on as an Episcopal Consultant, Itinerant Preacher, instructor for various subjects. As of recent days, he has been called on as an author for articles, in political circles, public forums and more. He is the former chairman of the Edison, New Jersey Human Relations Commission.

Brown was installed as Lead Pastor of New Revelations Cathedral (Now known as Ignite: Church Cathedral) in May of 2010. He was then further set aside in August of 2013 and consecrated as Bishop in the LORD’s Church. These were Re-affirmed as he was brought into full Apostolic Succession on March 10, 2021. Currently, he serves as the Presiding Prelate and Episcopal Protector of the Diocese of Christ the Reformer (A Five-fold Network of ministry gifts, aspirants and Episcopates).

By profession, Bishop is an entrepreneur owning several businesses including a Business Consulting Service, Marketing Companies and more. He serves various congregations in various capacities in Metuchen and Edison. He is a father of three, uncle of many, brother of many, friend, confidante and more. When he is not found preaching or teaching, Brown is found writing, traveling, enjoying a movie or the beach, spending quality time with his children or even expanding his pallet with another meal or opportunity to refine his skills.

Bishop Brown is the proudly submitted in covenant relationship with Archbishop Quintin D. Moore, the Diocese of the Restoration, and the Communion of Evangelical Episcopal Churches of which he serves as the Suffragan Bishop to the Diocese in addition to the Prelate of the Diocese of Christ the Reformer. He is the proud spiritual son of Bishop Ronald & First Lady Cheryl Owens.

Bishop Brown looks to a bright, bright future of many more years of community service both in and out of the pulpit, in community and in service to others. Lifting Jesus, Proclaiming the Kingdom of God, Equipping and Serving God’s people, and always looking to become more than he is now!
